Ambassadors

PLAIN’s ambassadors:

  • promote plain language and PLAIN in their region and language
  • bring a local perspective to international discussions at PLAIN
  • are a contact for people interested in joining PLAIN

How do Ambassadors help PLAIN?

An ambassador can do these tasks:

  • Create content for social media in their language
  • Promote PLAIN’s events and webinars in their region
  • Organize online or local plain language events (such as webinars and round tables)
  • Attend plain language events and write summaries for PLAIN members
  • Adapt international plain language initiatives and PLAIN’s resources for their country
  • Engage with plain language networks and experts in their region
  • Share plain language news from their region in PLAIN’s communications
  • Nominate local leaders in plain language for PLAIN’s awards

Ambassador benefits

Ambassadors enjoy:

  • an opportunity to connect with other plain language practitioners and experts
  • an exchange of ideas with PLAIN’s board members about regional initiatives
  • non-financial support from PLAIN for their regional initiatives
  • the PLAIN Ambassador logo for their personal marketing
